The Blinking Light Gallery welcomes new members throughout the year. The Gallery
carries the work of artists, craftspeople, authors (books) and musicians
(CD's). There is a simple jurying process. The membership terms and gallery
commissions differ depending on whether you become a working or non-working
member and whether you're selling art, music or books in the Gallery. Prior to
applying, simply chat with a representative of the Gallery (below) who can
explain the membership options and then send you the pertinent application form.
Do you have an interest in the arts and some free time to devote to the operation of a
community-based, co-operative art gallery? You don't have to be an artist or a
member to help. For example, we are always looking for people to be trained to
work in the Gallery to greet walk-in customers, ring up sales and answer the
phone. You can sign up for the available slots you would like -- there is no minimum
work commitment for non-members. If you have other organizational or creative
talents you'd like to offer, let us know.
If you are not a participating artist, you can still become a very valued Supporting
Member. Your annual membership fee ($30.00 effective Nov. 1, 2011, the start of
the next renewal cycle) will be an enormous help to the Gallery's bottom line. It will
also entitle you to a 10% discount on all merchandise in Gallery, plus get you on the
list for to receive special notifications concerning upcoming Gallery events and
business.
